Privacy Policy

NOETIQ ONE GmbH ("we", "us") operates Avova, a contact-capture app that helps you remember the people you meet. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your contacts live on your device, and we do not run accounts or a server that stores them.

Data stored on your device

Everything you capture, the people, their details, your notes, voice transcripts, and where you met, is stored locally on your device. We do not have a user account system and we do not keep a copy of your contacts on our servers. If you delete the app, or use Settings → "Delete all my data", that information is gone.

Device permissions

The app asks for the following, only when you use the related feature:

  • Camera — to scan QR codes and badges when you capture a contact.
  • Microphone — to record voice notes that are turned into text.
  • Location — to remember where you met someone. We resolve your location to a street and city only at the moment of capture; we do not track you in the background.
  • Contacts — to match and import people from your address book so captured contacts can be linked to people you already know.
  • Photo Library — to let you capture a contact from a photo you already have.

Third-party services we send data to

To turn what you capture into a useful contact, the app sends certain data to processors. These services process the request and return a result; we do not store the result on our own servers.

  • HarvestAPI — receives a LinkedIn profile URL (or a name and company) to fetch public profile details such as photo, headline, experience, and skills.
  • OpenAI — receives photos you capture (to read names and details off a badge or card) and names (to match them against your contacts).
  • ElevenLabs — receives voice-note audio to transcribe it into text.
  • OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — receives the coordinates of a capture to resolve them to a street and city.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Deleting your data

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. Open Settings inside the app and choose "Delete all my data" to remove every captured contact and reset the app. Deleting the app from your device removes the same data.
